Situated on the edge of the village of Danville, overlooking the distant hills, le gite McCallum is a place of calm and relaxation, the house a fine example of the architecture of the Cantons de l'Est, with its many historic associations.
Close by is Le Temps des Cerises, a restaurant well-known in the region for the quality of its cuisine. The famous trans-Quebec cycle route, La Route Verte, passes through the village. There is a summer theatre festival in nearby Kingsey Falls, and in the surrounding area there are art galleries, vineyards, lakes, and golf courses, all located within a short distance.
For those who choose not to stray too far from the gite, there is a large outdoor salt water swimming pool in a garden full of flowers, birds, and mature trees. Or perhaps you may wish to simply relax on the veranda, listen to the birdsong, and watch the setting sun. Our three comfortable and well-appointed guest rooms all have en suite bathrooms and internet access. In the mornings, you will start the day with a hearty breakfast, with a choice of fruit and cereals, eggs and bacon, accompanied by tea or coffee. We use natural or organic products and local produce wherever possible.
Danville is a village waiting to be discovered. It will be our pleasure to make your stay with us a pleasant one.
